Petrol Chainsaw For Forestry

Petrol Chainsaw for Forestry: Built for the Fire Line, Not the Showroom

When you're standing on a remote fire line before dawn, the last thing you need is a saw that won't start. We build this petrol chainsaw for forestry crews who work where there's no power outlet, no spare-parts truck, and no second chances.

Here's the thing about how it runs. It's a straightforward 2-stroke engine: the piston pulls in the fuel–oil–air mix on the upstroke and compresses it; the spark plug fires, the explosion drives the piston down, exhaust exits, and a fresh charge sweeps in. One crankshaft revolution, one power stroke. That's why it revs fast, stays compact, and doesn't need a laptop to diagnose.

Actually, the safety design is what operators notice first. A centrifugal clutch disengages at idle - the chain sits still until you open the throttle. Release the trigger, it stops. Tilt it, flip it, let it sit at idle for minutes - it stays lit. After a 12-hour shift, that reliability matters more than any spec sheet.

The point is cutting performance that holds up. 4.1 kW rated power, cold start in under 6 seconds, a 22-inch bar, and an automatic chain oiler that keeps the bar lubricated without you stopping mid-cut. Anti-vibration mounts keep handle vibration under 7 m/s², and the whole unit weighs 6.7 kg - light enough to hike up a ridge with, tough enough to buck through dense timber all shift. Good fuel economy means fewer cans to carry into the bush.

We stock these in bulk and ship them in reinforced export cartons, ready for brigade-level orders. If you need a petrol chainsaw for forestry firebreak work that starts on the first pull and keeps going when conditions get rough, this is it.
