Before transportation, proper preparation is essential. All residual water in the tank and pipelines must be completely drained to prevent freezing, corrosion, or leakage caused by movement or low-temperature conditions during transit. At the same time, all connections should be inspected to ensure that bolts, clamps, and seals are securely fastened, reducing the risk of loosening or damage due to vibration.
During loading, proper fixation and protection are required. Equipment should be arranged according to its structure and characteristics, avoiding excessive stacking or tilting. Larger fire pumps or mobile water supply systems should be fastened using dedicated supports or securing devices to ensure stability and prevent shifting or collision during transportation.
The choice of transport vehicles is also critical. For short-distance transport, standard vehicles may be used, but shock absorption measures must be applied. For long-distance or rough terrain transportation, specialized firefighting vehicles or vehicles equipped with suspension systems are preferred to enhance safety and stability. In mountainous or forested areas, additional attention should be given to anti-slip and anti-vibration measures.
During transportation, exposure to high temperatures, humidity, and corrosive environments should be avoided. Prolonged exposure to direct sunlight or rain may cause material aging or damage to electronic components. Therefore, protective covers such as waterproof and dustproof materials should be used. Contact with sharp objects or heavy equipment should also be avoided to prevent damage to external structures or pipelines.
Safety management during handling and transportation is equally important. Equipment should be handled with care during loading and unloading, and throwing or dragging is strictly prohibited to avoid internal structural damage. Transport personnel should have basic knowledge of the equipment to correctly identify key components and follow proper handling procedures.
Overall, scientific and standardized transportation practices not only ensure the integrity of water firefighting equipment but also improve emergency deployment efficiency, enabling the equipment to be rapidly and reliably deployed when needed.
